【留學】印度同學煮飯記Part 1 Homemade Indian Food Part 1

我的印度朋友邀請我去她家,她要煮晚餐給我吃!當然馬上說好啊哈哈!

My Indian friend invited me to have dinner at her house! Absolutely said yes!


印度同學要煮的料理叫做

Butter Paneer Masala

Paneer是一種白色像豆腐又像起司的印度食材,他有特別的口感和清香,生吃也很好吃!
The dish that she cooked was Butter Paneer Masala.
Paneer is an Indian ingredient that tastes like tofu or cheese. It has a special fragrance and texture.

準備材料

番茄4個、洋蔥2個、大蒜3瓣、Paneer一盒

酥油(cow's ghee印度從牛乳精煉出的一種液體脂肪)、橄欖油、鹽巴、印度香料

白飯

薄餅

Ingredient: 4 tomatoes, 2 onions, some garlic, Paneer, cow's ghee, olive oil, salt, Indian spices, rice, roti


設備

果汁機、平底鍋

Other: blender, pan


作法 Recipe

1. 開火,鍋中放油及切片大蒜

Turn on fire. Add oil and sliced garlic in pan

2. 番茄洋蔥切小塊,3/4翻炒,1/4留著先不要下鍋

Chop tomatoes and onions. Add 3/4 of them into the pan. Keep 1/4 of them on the table.

3. 翻炒後加入酥油、鹽巴及香料調味,蓋蓋子煮軟,需要煮到幾乎都化掉。必要的話加點水

Pan-fry and add butter and seasoning with salt and Indian spices. Put the lid on and cook until it looks soft and mix together. Add some water if need.









4. 放冷後放入果汁機中打成醬

Cool it down and blend them into sauces.

5. 打開Paneer,切成塊狀

Chop Paneer

6. 把醬、Paneer和前面留下的1/4番茄洋蔥放回鍋中煮,差不多都熟後就可以起鍋了。

Put the sauces, Paneer, and 1/4 tomatoes and onions in the pan and cook again. Cook it until well-done.



7. 配上白飯或是餅來一起吃~好吃!

Eat it with rice or roti! GOOOOD

印度香料盤 Indian Spices Plate


香料盤裡面的杯子裝有各種香料,除了薑黃我什麼都不認識!

每個杯子放入印度每家煮飯必備調味料,如果太少會再補足。

Those cups in the plate contain Indian Spices.


印度煮飯神器 Indian Rice Cooker 


印度家家戶戶都有的煮飯鍋,是同學從印度帶到美國使用。

有像壓力鍋,放入水和米後放在瓦斯爐上小火煮。

鳴響三次後關火,放到桌上等到鍋蓋上小螺絲下沉,就可以打開囉!

      

整個過程大約20分鐘

如果鳴響三次後沒有關火,他會繼續叫,水會乾掉飯燒焦。

The Indian rice cooker will whistle after the rice is almost well-done. After it whistles three times, you should turn off the fire. Wait until the screw goes down and then open the lid. 

If you forget to turn off the fire after three whistles, the rice will get burned. It takes about 20 minutes to cook rice.
